Meet The 12 Finalists For Black Founders Demo Day!

Twelve Black and Brown Founders from across the country have been selected to present at the inaugural Black Founders Demo Day - a celebration designed to showcase, inspire, and invest in Black and Brown wealth creation. Black Founders Demo Day will take place December 1 as a featured event of this year’s Art Basel - an annual event series for art, tech, and community that attracts attendees from all over the globe.

The 12 presenting companies were chosen from a pool of more than 300 applications by a selection committee composed of notable entrepreneurs, investors and community builders. Startups will showcase their startup via demo booth as well as onstage pitch to 2,000+ potential customers and investors.

Laundr: Laundr is an on-demand laundry service that will pick up, wash, fold, and deliver your clothing within 24 hours. 

Seren: Seren helps people build meaningful professional relationships & community using serendipity.

Athlytic, Inc.: Athlytic is a platform that allows student athletes to learn, connect, and manage their endorsement partnerships.

Wisdom App: Wisdom is a social audio app where you can have live one-to-one conversations and Q&A with experts, centered on knowledge-sharing and self discovery.

Opnr: Opnr is a B2B, double-sided marketplace platform that uses data to connect musicians with venues and concert organizers offering opener performance opportunities.

REC “Resources For Every Creator”: REC Philly, is an ecosystem that exists to empower creative entrepreneurs to do more of what they love. One part creative incubator, one part creative agency, REC is designed and dedicated to empowering local artists & makers by connecting them to the resources, strategies and communities necessary to build sustainable businesses around their talent.
